A final review before an invoice leaves your studio
Check the few details most likely to cause questions or payment delays.
The best time to fix an invoice is before the client receives it. A short review catches the small gaps that often turn into another email round.
Confirm the recipient
Check the legal name, billing address, and the person responsible for payment. The project contact and accounts contact may be different people.
Match the agreed scope
Use line-item language that matches the proposal or statement of work. A client should be able to connect each charge to something they already approved.
If the scope changed, include the approved change reference instead of relying on memory.
Check the dates
Review the issue date, due date, and any milestone date. If your agreement specifies a payment window, make sure the calendar date reflects it correctly.
Test the payment route
Open the payment link or verify the transfer details before sending. A polished invoice with a broken payment route still creates delay.
Read it as the client
Preview the final document on a small screen and a desktop. Check that the amount, due date, and payment action remain obvious in both places.
